to make a long story short, money has been tight between my mother and i. i’ve been refraining from making this post, but with five dollars in my bank account i’m getting desperate. neither of us have jobs anymore – though whenever i can afford to enroll in university again i’ll be able to get my old job back – but until then i can’t afford to go to school, we can hardly afford groceries and i just found out today that neither of us are on insurance anymore because we can’t afford that either.
this particularly sucks because i’ve been off my medication for the past week after i ran out and prescriptions aren’t cheap. i still need a laptop as mine broke a while ago and i’m forced to use a 10 year old desktop that runs obnoxiously slow. because of this, i’m not immediately opening up commissions since photoshop is always a hassle with this computer and, frankly, without my medication i rarely have the focus/drive/energy to do a bunch of commissions. and and the screen resolution for this monitor is really wide and i’ve noticed that what i make in photoshop looks different on other people’s computer and until i can figure out what the fuck i’m doing, i wouldn’t feel comfortable doing commissions that may or may not look as good as i think. that’s not to say i won’t open commissions eventually, but for now a donation or a reblog would be really helpful.

When something is life threatening, I’m going to reblog, post, and warn my followers. Any hate towards me about this will be blocked. Open URLs will be exposed as well. I don’t take things like this lightly. This is what I mean when I say Anti SJWs give us black roleplayers a lot of trouble over this hobby.

hi all. so lately ive been really struggling with my anxiety. i think most of this is in part to my having to balance both a job and an internship right now. also, ive really been pushing myself to crank out replies here on tumblr. given this, ive decided to go low activity across all blogs.

THE FAMILY BUSINESS WOULD BE HIS. it was as if it had been prophesied. perhaps it had been. he had been curious from a young age the way his father would hire new employees every few years when the previous suddenly disappeared without warning. most other households kept their staff members for several generations, it seemed.
there were rooms in pemberley he was not allowed to enter for many years. it only made sense why his mother’s quarters were not to be seen – following her death, his father had nearly boarded up the door. and since then, more and more rooms were out of fitzwilliam’s reach. it wasn’t until he was nine years old that he discovered the horrors below his own home.
when he returns home from his extensive education at eton, he finds his father very ill and insistent upon learning “the craft”. and those horrors from so long ago suddenly belong to him. mr. darcy dies peacefully and so ends darcy’s peace.
it goes like this: a new employee is hired. as a precaution, darcy has life insurance written up for this new staff member. the staff member is settled in and feels at home for a few years. and then, the disappearances begin. only… they are not disappearances at all. darcy knows exactly where they go. all those forbidden rooms now have purpose. and when these employees cannot be found, their life insurance is collected by none other than their employer … mr. darcy.

At the first glimpse of dawn, he is out of bed and calling for Thomas to help him dress and ready for the day. his tea is served steaming and with cream only, the handful of biscuits left untouched as he plans out his day ( but it is almost always the same ). first, he heads out to the stables for his early morning ride. erasmus, his trusty stead, is prepped and ready, and he pats the stable boy, ceril, on the head gratefully before climbing up. and off he goes.
when he returns, he finds that his sister is tending to her correspondence in her sitting room, so he retires to his own to do the same. when a health issue arises with one of the older butlers and Thomas comes running, he leaps into action. swift orders to call for the doctor are given as he crosses in long strides to attend to the member of his staff.
lunch is missed, much to the chagrin of his cook and Thomas, but he keeps to his butler, Percy's, side. and, finally, when the doctor has cleared his patient and leaves, the master of the house rises and retires to his sitting room to work on the finances.
when dinner finally rolls around, it is his sister who fetches him and he cannot deny her if he tried. and, full, they go to the drawing room and georgiana plays half a dozen pieces for the staff and her brother. their applause is loud and given without hesitance. and he thinks, as he ushers everyone to bed after, that he could not be more blessed. tomorrow must be just as grand.
2005 FILM & BOOK INSPIRED. This verse revolves around both the book and 2005 film. Mr. Darcy will recognize all canon characters. He may or may not be in love with Elizabeth Bennet, dependent on the thread.
PRE-CANON. This verse will take place prior to the book and the films. All interactions with Darcy can take place when he is any age before 28. Please note that while his father is alive, he is not "Mr. Darcy", but "Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy" or simply "Mr. Fitzwilliam".
POST-CANON. Takes place any time following Darcy's start at courting Miss Elizabeth Bennet. Any interactions in this verse will be purely platonic unless with an Elizabeth muse.
