send ‘love actually’ and i’ll generate a plot based on the film.

1. a rockstar and manager.  muse a isn’t a typical successful artist and is hell to manage - frequently getting into trouble, causing controversy and being a grade a pain - but they have a good heart, even if the manager ( muse b ) they constantly poke fun at is the only one to see it.

2. lost in translation.  muse a’s last relationship has just ended terribly and they get out of the country and take some time in a country where they can’t speak the language ( across seas should be enough space, yes? ) and muse b works in their house. despite the communication barrier, they have a strong connection and it’s not long before they care for each other enough to fill two languages.

3. widower and youth.  after the death of muse a’s significant other, they dedicate their time and distractions to helping muse b - a younger person who’s normally high spirits have recently been dimmed. muse a, recovering from their last love, must help muse b catch their first.

4. not for me.  muse a and muse b have been married for years when muse a discovers muse b has been having an affair with a younger employee of theirs. with decades of marriage and children involved, will a divorce be worth it or will they be able to work through their problems? does muse b really love the person they had an affair with? or was it all for lust?

5. it’s all in the accent.  muse a has moved to the country where muse b lives in hopes of finding foreign romance - having ruled out all chances back home. muse a invites muse b to lodge with them and it’s not long before muse b’s hopes of sex are fulfilled - but is there love too?

6. movie magic.  muse a and muse b are actors who’ve never met before. their first day of filming involves intimate scenes to say the least but they instantly hit it off. they’ve both been acting for years, they know nothing on screen is real … except maybe something can be.

7. defense mechanism.  muse a has just gotten married. their spouse’s friend has never seemed to like them but now that they’re married, muse a hopes that can change. in trying to reach out and make amends, muse a discovers that muse b has been madly in love with them for muse a’s entire relationship with muse b’s friend.

8. all’s fair in love and politics.  muse a has recently been appointed prime minster ( /president, etc. ) and muse b is a member of their household staff. there seems to be no harm at first but as they get to know and grow fond of muse b, it becomes increasingly difficult for muse a to run the country.

9. about time.  muse a and muse b have been colleagues for years. the entire staff knows about their feelings for one another and grow increasingly irritated that they haven’t gotten together. it’s the typical office romance trope except when they finally break down the barriers, muse b discovers something about muse a’s personal life that makes a relationship seem virtually impossible.

10. something pretty.  muse a is happily married, with a family and a secure and powerful job in their business. however they can’t help but notice their young secretary ( muse b ) seems to have taken an interest in them. flirtations taken too far lead to an affair. is it love or lust and what will happen when muse a’s spouse discovers?
